Genesis 3:15. Enmity between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
In plain words
In the same sentence that judges the fall, God puts enmity between two lines of descent: the woman's seed shall bruise the serpent's head, and the serpent shall bruise his heel. It is war declared with the outcome told in the same verb: a head wound kills, and a heel wound does not.
The mechanism
THE DECLARATION — the war announced in the verdict, and the outcome stated in the same verb. Head and heel are not symmetrical injuries
