Wycliffe puts the whole Bible into English and dies in his bed in 1384. The Council of Constance condemns him in 1415; in 1428 his bones are dug up and burned and the ashes thrown into a river. Hus is burned alive at the same council.
Set beside it, Matthew 24:14 (PARTLY IN PLACE): “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
If it has started, it needs: The gospel in every nation (counted here by language)
The record on 19 September 2026: 807 full Bibles; 3,224 languages with none
Geometry, Survival: A reading: a text survives when it is released faster than error and pressure can wear it down. Constance burned Hus and had Wycliffe's bones burned; the copies went on.
In plain words
Wycliffe puts the whole Bible into English and dies in his bed; the Council of Constance condemns him, and in 1428 his bones are dug up, burned and thrown into a river. Hus is burned alive at the same council. The bone-burning is the institution's own confession of how much the translation mattered.
The mechanism
RELEASE PUNISHED — the bone-burning is the institution's own confession of how much the translation mattered. The thing does not need a surviving organisation. It regenerates from the text, and you cannot burn a mechanism
